To qualify for any year-end award in the .22 cowboy league, an individual must be a member in good standing of Turkeyfoot Longrifles and Cowboys.
Category Placement Awards
Those who qualify for placement will be ranked according to their best six finishes in cowboy style shooting. Participants must shoot at least 6 matches in the same category to be eligible for an award. If a participant qualifies in more than one category, only the category with the best score will be awarded, and the next in line winner of the other category will receive the winner slot.
Note: Ties will be broken by comparing the ranking of the tied shooters in revolver shooting where they attended the same match. Awards or plaques will be awarded to the first three places in each category.
.22 Cowboy Shooting isn't just about speed; it's also about precision and skill. In our .22 cowboy league, we want to honor those who achieve clean shoots throughout the season. Therefore, we will present a clean shoot pin to each shooter who manages to complete a clean match in cowboy style shooting. It is important to note that it is not necessary to attend 6 or more matches to qualify for this award. Additionally, procedure penalties are counted as errors and will disqualify the shooter from a clean shoot. However, if bonuses are incorporated into a stage and the total bonus time equals or exceeds the total misses on that stage, that stage will be deemed clean and count towards the Dead Eye Award in revolver shooting.
Special Recognition awards may be given for various reasons in the context of the .22 cowboy league, where participants showcase their skills in cowboy style shooting and revolver shooting.
